Holiday's with the Oliverson's

Okay I have been awful at keeping this updated. I think in the last almost 2 months I have only been on the computer for a few minutes to check my e-mail. November and December were very busy. Had a great Thanksgiving, enjoyed some retail therapy on black Friday, and then moved the next week. I think this was the most stressful and chaotic move we've had so far. The move probably would have been a little smoother except the same weekend we were moving I was involved with an event at Maddy's school. Note to self...next time they have a sign up for committees, leap across the table and sign up for the set up clean up committee, otherwise you are assigned to be on the raffle committee all by yourself with no real guideline from previous years. Well it was a stressful few weeks but I am so relieved to be done with all of it. Somehow everything was moved and the event was successful. December was wonderful. As most people I absolutely love the Christmas season. Such a happy and joyful time of year. This year was one of my favorite Christmases ever. Instead of doing all the unpacking and organizing like I should have probably done, I decided to just really enjoy the season. We had a great time getting a tree, decorating it, putting up Christmas decorations, making gingerbread houses, going to Maddy's Christmas program, looking at endless Christmas lights, sang countless renditions of jingle bells, saw old friends, attended Christmas parties and get together's and spent lots and lots of time with family. Seemed as though there was something planned almost every day of the month. I know I loved Christmas all those years between being a kid and having my own but it really was a special Christmas with the kids. They are at such fun ages that the excitement and wonderment of Christmas was so cute to see. It was contagious. I know I have said how Maddy is all girl and Logan is all boy and it was pretty apparent this Christmas. It was a Princess and Cars Christmas. Maddy got princess books, bedding, a princess bike and more. Logan got a race track, cars bedding, Mater, lightning McQueen, hot wheels, a bike and even more cars. The kids and I are sad to see all the Christmas lights come down and have an end to my favorite time of year but I think 2008 is going to be an amazing year. This week I am excited to start on my new goals. Ingenious wasn't it? Putting the New Year and something so exciting to look forward to right after having to say goodbye to Christmas.  I will try to add some more pictures and video later but I am kicking myself for not taking many pictures at Christmas or Thanksgiving. Very unlike me. Guess I was just having too good a time to remember the camera.
